Commerce Cluster Promotes Yiwu
Post Time: 25/12/2017

“Our main task is to attract effective investments. Under the guidance of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we will accelerate the projects in December and pay close attention to the effective investments next year,” a director from Yiwu Commerce Cluster said.

According to him, the cluster will take the Belt and Road Initiative as its main priority; maintain the principles of jointly discussing, building, and sharing, and strengthen its innovation and international cooperation. Based on the new task put forward by the 19th National Congress, the cluster will work on the opening up of Yiwu as a land port, the new model of the logistics industry, the infrastructure construction of logistics, and more. Next, the cluster will focus on the China Railway Express and the Yiwu-Ningbo-Zhoushan (YNZ) Corridor, improving the transportation layout, connecting the east and the west, and completing a sound international land port system with various functions, including shipping, railway, mail, and air transportation. Meanwhile, it will promote the construction of key logistics projects, such as the Red Lion Logistics Park, headquarters of Yuantong Express in Zhejiang, and the Shenzhen International Smart Logistics Town.

Additionally, new projects like the Suxi Station of the YNZ Corridor, the Dubai Storehouse, and the Yiwu Base of China COSCO Shipping Corporation are also on the agenda. It is estimated that the total number of effective investments next year will reach 4.5 billion RMB, with a year-on-year increase of 30%.

Furthermore, the cluster will enhance the cooperation and communication with the countries along the railway, continue its promotion of regular operations, and add more stations. The construction of Spain Town and Czech Town are also part of the project.

“To answer the call of the Belt and Road Initiative, Yiwu Commerce Cluster will focus on the YNZ Corridor, the three economic corridors in Jinhua, and the international land port in Yiwu. The cluster will become a strong support for the transformation and upgrading of Yiwu,” said Ji Jinfu, director of the Management Committee of Yiwu Commerce Cluster.
