Czech Station of the B&R
Post Time: 21/08/2018

On August 13, the preparatory group of the Czech station of the Belt and Road (B&R), together with Zhejiang Huajie Company, released information on the Czech Republic station project that was launched at the beginning of 2018. The two groups also established Europe Huajie Development Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary in the Czech Republic, to deal with the construction and operation of the Czech station. At present, the Czech station of the B&R is actively constructing freight yards and a logistics park, and plans are in the works to build a business and service center.

The Czech Station of the China Railway Express (CRE)

The CRE from Prague to Yiwu is the central project of the Czech station of the B&R. Xu Zhengguo, head of Yiwu DaJin Development Company, has been engaged in international trade with the Czech Republic for many years, promoting Czech products to enter the Chinese market. In 2017, he transported 22 TEUs of crystal glass products from the Czech Republic to Yiwu via the CRE. Not long ago, his shop in Yiwu Imported Commodities Market was awarded the title “Czech Pavilion.”

“We are all looking forward to the Czech station of the B&R being complete and operational as soon as possible,” expressed Xu with great happiness in the interview. In June, he went to the Czech Republic to order a batch of new crystal products worth 50,000 Euros; in late August, the products will be transported to Yiwu via the CRE.

Construction of the Czech Station of the B&R

With the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce in recent years, the demand for logistics coordinators and warehouses has been growing rapidly each year. On June 29 Czech time, Europe Huajie Development Company and LOGISTIQUE FOR Company signed a cooperation agreement in Prague, marking the official launch of the project of the Czech station of the B&R.

The Logistics Park, located in Central Czech Republic and close to Prague, Prague International Airport, and the highway, was developed by the company Panattoni, an internationally renowned logistics real estate agent. The logistics warehouse in the park covers about 25,000 m2, and 13,000 m2 of that is already operational.

After careful site selection and negotiating for almost half a year, the Pavlov Logistics Park finally began construction in the Czech Republic. When the Logistics Park is put into operation, it will provide comprehensive services, including overseas warehouses, bonded warehouses, and logistics distribution for domestic cross-border e-commerce enterprises, which will greatly promote the development of cross-border e-commerce enterprises.

Xu said that the Czech station, as the bridge between China and the Czech Republic, will provide services for businessmen in Zhejiang and Europe and facilitate the distribution of goods. Additionally, the Czech station will help products from Zhejiang enter the European market and also bring more high-quality products from Europe into Yiwu’s market.

The whole project of the Czech station of the B&R is scheduled to be completed in five years. In 2020 the freight yards, logistics parks, and business parks are expected to be built, and in 2022 the whole project will be complete and put into operation.
