New Business Park in Czech Republic
Post Time: 27/12/2018

As one of the Belt and Road Initiative projects, a new business park will be launching at Prague 8 District.

On December 19 local time in the Czech Republic, European Huajie Development s.r.o. and Rustonka Real Estate of J&T Group signed a cooperation agreement in Prague, marking the launch of the Business Park project in the Czech center of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This is the third project carried out in the Czech Republic, following the successful operation of a freight park and a logistics park project. They manifest the speed and effectiveness of Yiwu in contributing to the BRI.

The new business park is located at Prague 8, a district of the capital and the future business center of Prague. The area is developing rapidly with advanced transportation networks. Amazon, the Bank of Communications of China, China Visa Center, and other influential institutions have already established their places in the district. With a total area of 3,520 m2, the project will build a business park consisting of a commercial exhibition center, China (Zhejiang) manufacturers’ display, European import goods display, cross-border e-commerce experience area, and more. It will be an integrated professional park providing consultation, business incubation, tax services, and more.

After the completion of the project, a number of trade fair exhibitions, art exhibitions, and cultural exchange activities are set to be introduced. At the same time, cross-border e-commerce logistics will connect with the freight services and other logistics supply chains to realize an international leading cross-border e-commerce ecosystem that provides a full range of international trade and supply chain integration services in Central Europe. This will encourage the communication of businessmen, products, information, and services, shaping a two-way trade market.

Further developments will soon follow, including a better cooperation with China Railway Express (CRE). The CRE, running between Yiwu and Prague, is an important part of the BRI. Since beginning operations, Lovosice Station in the Czech Republic has been a regular stop, aiding in the distribution of exports from Yiwu. According to data from Yiwu Customs, from January to November 2018, Yiwu exported 240 million RMB worth of goods to the Czech Republic, a year-over-year increase of 182.5%, and imported products worth 0.5 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%.
