Expanding Network in Central-West Europe
In June 2019, the Jinhua Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade led 20 Jinhua-based companies and organizations to the Czech Republic and France to negotiate business cooperation plans. During their one week in those countries, the delegation held a trade and investment environment promotion conference in France and a fair in the Czech Republic.
The Jinhua companies had the opportunity to talk to over 60 French companies and 30 Czech businesses. The activity led to fruitful and satisfying results. To date, there are eight projects that have been agreed upon, with a total value of 7.4 million USD, and there are 15 projects that are under the process of being negotiated, which are worth 9.3 m USD.
A manager from the council mentioned that the event was closely followed and reported by Chinese-language newspapers like Global Times and Nouvelles d'Europe (Oushi), which attracted the attention of many overseas Chinese in France.
The tour, which was named “Jinhua Brands on the Silk Road,” will continue making its way to Japan, Thailand, Cambodia and Saudi Arabia in the second half of this year to promote commercial talks and cooperation. Additionally, the Zhejiang Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade will also organize a similar activity in November to take Zhejiang-based companies to Spain and Italy.
