Changhe Campus Opens

On September 2, the Changhe Campus of Yiwu New Silk Road School was officially put into operation. Accompanied by their parents and teachers, 286 pupils attended the opening ceremony of the new campus.

Yiwu New Silk Road School was jointly sponsored by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Jinhua Municipal Government and the Jinhua Education Bureau. It now has two campuses: the Changhe Campus and the Longhui Campus. The Changhe Campus plans to have 36 classes, and it covers a land area of 36,000 m2, with a construction area of 29,000 m2. Over 100 million RMB has been invested in the first-class teaching buildings, activity center, library, constant-temperature swimming pool, and gymnasium.

At the opening ceremony, Wang Hong, principal of Yiwu New Silk Road School and provincial master teacher, said that the school would promote the development of both teachers and students.

The Changhe Campus is setting up 10 classes from Grade 1 to Grade 5 for 286 students in the new semester. With a teaching force 30 teachers strong, the school shows great potential. (By Fan Tingting, translated by Jin Haiqiong, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
