Int’l Students Visit Yiwu
From November 3 to 4, sponsored by the China Scholarship Council and hosted by Zhejiang Normal University, an activity themed “China Experience: Innovation in Zhejiang” was held in Yiwu. There were 91 international students from 44 countries who obtained the Chinese scholarship to participate in the event. During their stay in Yiwu, these students saw a general picture of Zhejiang’s development by learning about the history, city construction, trade development, and innovative business models in Yiwu.
What impressed them most was the China Railway Express. One train with 50 containers whooshes across 13,000 km for 17 to 18 days, covering ground from Yiwu to Madrid. These numbers amazed the participants. Many African students said that they hope one day there will be a China-Africa railway express to send Chinese goods to Africa, furthering cooperation between the partners.
