Research by International Students
On the morning of November 16, nearly 30 international students from the College of International Education of Zhejiang Normal University (ZNU) came to the village of Youbu, Lanxi, to engage in a research activity that was organized by the Jinhua Federation of Social and Science Associations.
The international students learned much about local culture and customs when visiting the old streets in Youbu, one of the historical villages of the municipality of Jinhua. They also visited the exhibition hall of ancient folk custom and culture to understand more of China's traditional culture. In the afternoon, they watched a performance of left-handed calligraphy written backwards from normal characters. Then, they were impressed by the unique local food culture and a wedding ceremony on the water.
Held by the College of International Education of ZNU and Lanxi Federation of Social and Science Associations, this activity is part of the work of international cultural communication and the popularization of social science. Through research activities, a form of Sino-international cultural exchanges, the policy Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era will be thoroughly implemented in Jinhua. Not only is it a good way to tell stories about China to the world and to carry out the Belt and Road Initiative, it is also beneficial to the display of Jinhua's good image, the spread of local culture, and the urbanization of Jinhua.
