Expats Fight against 2019-nCov Epidemic
On the evening of February 3, Hami was on duty.
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) epidemic, many internationals who stayed in Yiwu during the Spring Festival have banded together to contribute their strengths to fight against the epidemic with local residents.
In the Jimingshan Community, known as the “UN community,” more than 10 internationals have volunteered to join the security guard team of the community. Hami, one of the volunteers from Iran, said that their work was to guard the entrance of the community from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. to conduct inquiries and temperature checks on people coming in and out.
Amar was giving medical advice to an international patient in Yiwu.
Amar is a doctor at the International Clinic of Yiwu Chouzhou Hospital. He was extremely busy this Spring Festival, because he not only held fast to his position at the hospital, but also worked as a voluntary consultant, responding to international friends’ inquiries about the epidemic on his mobile phone.
Amar said fighting against the epidemic was a battle without gunpowder, and as an international doctor, he would continue to play his part. (By Du Yufeng, translated by Shen Yingying, edited by Mariam Ayad)
