Int'l Photographers in Pan'an
From October 30 to November 1, invited by the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau of Pan'an, four international photographers from Turkey, Romania, the Philippines, and Indonesia came to Pan'an to take pictures of the landscapes, local culture, and specialty foods.
Their Pan'an trip is part of a project called “Global Photographers in Zhejiang” hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The project is inviting international photographers to visit 11 cities in Zhejiang and record the most beautiful aspects of Zhejiang with their cameras. All the pictures will be edited and published. The aim of this project is to enable artists to discover, record, and disseminate Zhejiang's beautiful natural landscape and profound cultural heritage through the photographer's lens, so as to further show the world the beauty of Zhejiang and help Zhejiang become a precious memory in the minds of tourists. Pan'an has been chosen as one of the stops.
Libres Librodo from the Philippines, one of the four photographers who came to Pan'an, is one of five international photographers recommended by Adobe Photoshop; Sefa Ulukan is the chairman of the Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey; Ovi D Pop is the chairman of Varadinum Photo Club in Oradea, Romania; Harianto Sumawan from Indonesia is the representative of the International Federation of Photographic Art. All four excel in landscape and portrait photography. In three days, they took more than 100 photos of Pan'an at Lingjiangyuan Forest Park, Jianshan Ancient Street, ancient villages, and architecture, etc.
While taking pictures, the four artists were impressed by the mottled stone walls of the ancient houses, the lush green near the old streets, the entangled ancient trees, the smiles of the elderly who were busy on the farms, and the breathtaking glass walkway on a mountain cliff. When snapping shots, they kept murmuring: “Nice! Lovely!”
Pop said, “I've seen many beautiful scenes throughout my career. My country, Romania, for example, is famous for tourism. The blue Danube, the majestic Carpathians, and the beautiful Black Sea are the treasures of my country, not to mention the famous medieval architecture. The Bran Castle, known as the Dracula's Castle in literary works, is a well-known place for film shooting. Our national flower, the white rose, is a symbol used in celebrations of the harvest season.” He continued, “In Pan'an, the scenery, the ancient buildings, and the joy of the autumn harvest give me a completely different feeling. Pan'an is a vibrant city. I want to bring its beauty back to Romania and help more people understand the oriental aesthetic.”
Based on the itinerary of the four photographers, the organizer, with the support of influential travel agencies and channels, will release a customized itinerary for international photographers in order to introduce Zhejiang to the international market.
