38 Major Projects Kick off in Wucheng

On the morning of April 23, Wucheng District held an opening ceremony for major projects in 2020. Chen Long, secretary of the Jinhua Municipal Party Committee, attended the ceremony and announced the start of these projects. Shao Guoqiang and Xu Zhangcai also attended the ceremony.

The 38 major projects have a total investment of 10.55 billion RMB, of which 13 are social investment projects, with an investment of 5.68 bn RMB, and 25 are government investment projects, with an investment of 4.87 bn RMB. These projects cover many fields, such as transportation, industry, commerce, agriculture, travel, real estate, and more.

The main venue for the opening ceremony is located in the village of Huangyantou, Bailongqiao Town, which is the location of the Chengmei Campus Project of Jinhua No. 5 Middle School. After its completion, the new campus will integrate and share high-quality educational resources. In addition, the organizer set up five other branch venues in the construction site of five projects, including the Industrial Innovation Service Building Project by Feiyang Town, the 600 Cranes Project by Zhejiang Zhizao Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., Wangu Urban Complex Project to the north of Wucheng District, Guanlan Jiangjing Project by Tianyang Real Estate, and the Road Reconstruction and Improvement Project at the West Road of the Second Ring.

Since last year, Wucheng District has made great efforts to introduce investments, implement projects, and construct major projects. In 2019, the GDP of the district exceeded 30 bn RMB. With the sudden outbreak of the pandemic, Wucheng did its utmost to solve problems for local companies and residents, and promoted the resumption of normal business. In the first quarter of this year, Wucheng has secured investments worth 1.76 bn RMB in fixed assets, 230m RMB in investments in transportation, 250m RMB in private investments, 240m RMB in investments in environmental protection and public facilities, and 150m RMB in investments in high-tech industries.
