2019 Fangyan Temple Fair

      On October 9, the 2019 Fangyan Temple Fair kicked off in the Tourist Distribution Center in Fangyan, Yongkang. The fair was one of the activity series themed “Folk Customs in Colorful Zhejiang,” which works to present and promote traditional Chinese culture. The themed activities were sponsored by the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of Zhejiang Province and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Wang Xiaofeng, deputy director of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the United Front Work Department; Mo Xingfu, deputy director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of Zhejiang Province; and Jin Zheng, vice chairman of the Yongkang Municipal Political Consultative Conference and secretary of the Yongkang Municipal Party Committee, attended the fair.

      The Fangyan Temple Fair reflects Yongkang's endeavors to inherit, protect, and promote excellent traditional culture. This year's fair not only displayed Yongkang's history and culture but also promoted the development and innovation of its folk customs. With the support of the sponsors, this year's Fangyan Temple Fair was included in the “Folk Customs in Colorful Zhejiang” activity series.
