Intangible Cultural Heritage Seminar at ZNU

On December 21, the opening ceremony of an international academic seminar on the mission of intangible cultural heritage and basic art education was held at Zhejiang Normal University (ZNU). More than 600 famous Chinese and international scholars, experts, teachers, and masters in art education and intangible cultural heritage attended the seminar, including Yin Shaochun, Liang Jiu, Qian Chuxi, Gu Ping, Hou Yangxiang, Shinya Shinseki, and Han Euijung. The seminar aims to discuss the field of intangible cultural heritage education and to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation in the field.

The protection of intangible cultural heritage has long been a focus of people from all walks of life. The 2019 Government Work Report states that China intends to “strengthen the protection of cultural relics and intangible cultural heritage,” which shows that the protection of intangible cultural heritage has become a national goal.
