ZNU Students Win National Award
Post Time: 02/01/2018

From December 8 to 10, supported by the Japanese Science Society, organized by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), the Japan Knowledge Contest for Chinese Colleges and Universities was held at SJTU. More than 500 students and teachers from 117 colleges and universities participated in the contest, making it the largest to date. There were three participants from Zhejiang Normal University (ZNU): Lu Yanqing, Dai Kecheng, and He Renwu, all from the Japanese Department of the College of Foreign Languages. Ryosuke Hamada and Jin Xiyu are their mentors.

This contest was first held in 2004. It has been held in different places around China, and all have been received well. The purpose of the contest is to pique the interest of Chinese students to learn Japanese language and culture, and to deepen mutual understanding and communication between China and Japan. It covers Japanese history, geography, economics, literature, culture, and society. This is the first time for ZNU to attend the contest. (Translated by Li Ziyi, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
