Jinhua-Central Asia IRE
Post Time: 13/09/2018

On the evening of September 1, 102 containers of exported goods were delivered to Central Asian countries along the Belt and Road (B&R) through the Jinhua-Central Asia International Railway Express (IRE), which has been operating for one year. According to statistics, 4518 containers have received supervision services from Hangzhou Customs, with a total value of 1.91 billion RMB. The main exported goods include Jinhua’s power tools, Yongkang’s hardware, Pujiang’s and Lanxi’s textiles, and Wuyi’s leisure furniture.

In order to ensure the smooth operation of the Jinhua-Central Asia IRE, Jinhua Customs has launched the following service initiatives. Firstly, refining the customs clearance procedures, establishing cooperation mechanisms with port customs, and implementing one-stop-tracking of exported goods to ensure the quick clearance of goods in China. Secondly, signing a memorandum of cooperation with the Jinhua Freight Center to make sure that the goods that have completed customs procedures can be shipped promptly. Thirdly, launching the railway-highway joint transportation mode, which is that after enterprises complete the declaration procedures, goods will be transported to Jinhua by highway, and then transported to Central Asia and Europe by IRE.

Efficient and convenient customs clearance has made the Jinhua-Central Asia IRE popular. Products made in Zhejiang—including clothing, shoes, and plumbing materials—as well as products made in other provinces of China, are all exported through the Jinhua-Central Asia IRE. At present, it exports products from 10 provinces and cities. (By Hu Zhenan, translated by Jiao Tingting, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
