Double 11: Jinhua Exports 74,000 Packages
Post Time: 16/11/2018

According to Jinhua Customs, on November 14, over 74,000 packages were exported via Jinhua’s Cross-Border Clearance due to the Double 11 shopping extravaganza. More than 1.2 million import orders were made in Jinhua-Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

For officials in Jinhua Customs, Double 11 has now become a test of both physical and mental endurance. At the site, the whole examination process was carried out in a highly organized fashion: scanning, inspecting, releasing, and sorting. “On the 11th, we oversaw over 74,000 cross-border parcels, which amount is expected to reach a new record this year,” said Gong Kuangjun, an official from Jinhua Customs.

Jinhua’s international exports have maintained rapid growth, ranking high among the 30 pilot cities in the country. To date, over 40,000 parcels are transported every day on average, totaling more than 46 million, with a value reaching nearly 350 million USD. Furthermore, the destinations now include more than 200 countries and territories across six continents. (By Wang Fei, translated by Lin Yuqin, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
