Chinese Scientists Win Cleveland Prize

      On the evening of February 14 US time, a Chinese team of scientists who are engaged in the “Mozi” quantum experiment satellite were awarded the Newcomb Cleveland Prize by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world’s largest general scientific society. This is the first time for Chinese scientists to win the award since the establishment of the AAAS. 

      Pan Jianwei, chief scientist of the “Mozi” project, was born in Jinhua. The research results of “Mozi” quantum experiment satellite were published in the US magazine Science in June 2017. Research papers written by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professors from University of Science and Technology of China, and Pan Jianwei were also published in this issue.
