In the just-concluded 18th World Police and Firefighters Games (WPFG), two SWAT teams from Jinhua Prison participated and won two golds and one silver medal. The two gold medals were won by Wang Chengwei in the Gi and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (30+ (-70KG)); the silver medal was won by Guo Chong in the Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (30+ (-64KG)).

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a method of self-defense without weapons, usually used to fight against criminals or other dangerous persons. It is widely used in police skills training because it causes no injuries to organs.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one of 60 competition events at the WPFG. More than 300 people from 26 countries and regions participated in the competition. (By Li Qiaohong — Jinhua Daily, translated by Wei Han, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
