In order to help local companies win the fight against the pandemic, to promote the resumption of production, and to encourage economic stability, local governments in China have provided support and subsidies to companies. In March, the Department of Commerce of Jinhua announced that Jinhua will give financial support to local companies that have cooperated with international projects and projects related to the Belt and Road, to help them overcome the difficulties.

In recent years, Jinhua has enjoyed positive growth regarding international economic cooperation. In 2019, Jinhua had a turnover of 37.59 million USD in international economic cooperation, an increase of 14.2% year-on-year. There were 14 international contracts signed throughout 2019, with a total value of 820.8 million USD.

In conjunction with the Zhejiang Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang established a special emergency loan of 15 billion RMB to stabilize foreign trade and business, taking note of projects related to the B&R. In addition, the bank will offer the most preferential interest rates for loans that are in line with the national key industries and provide preferential interest rates to small and micro companies.
