Jinhua-Qingyuan Intercity Railway
According to the China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd, the main line of the Zhejiang and Fujian sections of the Quzhou-Ningde Railway opened for operation at 15:58 on May 12, which is a giant step toward the goal of becoming fully operational at the end of September this year. By then, the story of the railway never connecting Jinhua with Suichang, Songyang, Longquan, Qingyuan and other parts of Southwest Zhejiang will be history.
The Quzhou-Ningde Railway is a national construction project. It began construction in 2015 and stepped onto the stage of full-line paving of tracks by the end of 2018. The Quzhou-Ningde Railway is a single-line electrified railway, designed to be 160 kilometers per hour, and is a regional railway for both passengers and cargo. Its line starts from Quzhou Station and passes through many stations, including Suichang, Longquan, Songyang, Qingyuan, Songxi, Zhenghe, Pingnan, Zhouning, and Ningde. The length of the main line is about 366.5 km, of which the Zhejiang section is 206.9 km.
As long as the main line of the railway is open, all the participating units of the Quzhou-Ningde Raiway will concentrate their efforts on the follow-up work of line adjusting, security measures, and line connections of the station to ensure the project can meet the high-quality standards required to open at the time of its inspection.
Thanks to building a new cross-provincial channel between Southwest Zhejiang and Northeast Fujian, the transportation of tourism and business between our city and the cities along the route will be more convenient and efficient. In addition, the radiation effects to Southwest Zhejiang brought by Jinhua, Yiwu, and Dongyang as their driving force will be further consolidated and strengthened.
