Overseas Warehouses of Wuyi Companies
“In the past few years, we have set up overseas warehouses in Australia, Germany, and the United States.” On July 22, Yan Shengyuan, chairman of Zhejiang PDW Industrial Co., Ltd., said that overseas warehouses can effectively solve the problems of cross-border logistics, such as longer delivery times, unexpected damage of goods, and congestion in peak seasons. These warehouses improve logistics efficiency and services, realize local sales and local distribution of export products, and achieve a win-win situation for companies and customers.
Nowadays, an increasing number of export companies are creating overseas warehouses to reduce the costs of product storage and logistics for cross-border sales. In April this year, Zhejiang Wuyi Jijia Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. and Wuyi Letu Leisure Products Co., Ltd. jointly invested to build an overseas warehouse in the United States, which covers the sales network of the whole country and shortens the sales cycle of the products.
To date, more than 800 cross-border e-commerce entities in Wuyi have joined cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Ali International Station, Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress. The products they sell cover kitchenware, furniture, sporting goods, office supplies, auto parts, and garden supplies. In the first half of this year, the sales of cross-border e-commerce companies in Wuyi exceeded 12 million USD through Ali International Station.
Traditional foreign trade companies are often unable to do online sales due to their insufficient experience in the field of online sales, and the overseas warehouses help them to get stable orders. (By Wu Junyong, translated by Wei Han, edited by Mariam Ayad)
