Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Mayor of Jinhua

Duties and responsibilities:

Zhang Xinyu coordinates the comprehensive work on industry and information technology, science and technology, statistics, economic development zones (industry, science and technology parks), finance, insurance, and network information economy. He is in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, the Municipal Finance Office, the Municipal Bureau of Statistics, the Municipal Bureau of Network Economy, the Jinhua Development Zone Management Committee, and Jinhua Bank.

He is also responsible for the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, Jinyi Science and Technology and Innovation Corridor Office, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company, Jinhua Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics, Jinhua Central Branch of the People’s Bank of China, Jinhua Bank Insurance Regulatory Branch, Jinhua Office of the Provincial Rural Credit Cooperative, all policy-related banks, commercial banks, insurance companies, and the Jinhua-Pan’an Poverty Alleviation Development Zone Management Committee.

Profile:

Zhang Xinyu was born in October 1971 in Pujiang, Zhejiang. He started his career in August 1984 and received a master’s degree. He joined the Communist Party of China in December 1992.

Zhang has served as deputy secretary of the Jinhua Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League, member of the Standing Committee of the Jindong District Committee of Jinhua, Organization Minister, deputy minister of the Organization Department of Jinhua Municipal Party Committee, director of the Office of the editorial committee, deputy secretary of the Wuyi County Party Committee, secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the County Government, deputy county magistrate and county magistrate, secretary of the Wuyi County Party Committee, member of the Party Leadership Group of Jinhua Municipal Government, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Jinhua Emerging Industry Cluster District, director of the Management Committee, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Jinyi Metropolitan New District.
