On the afternoon of November 12, the School of Business invited Zhou Huaishan, the dean of think tanks at Yiwu Industrial and Commercial College, to deliver a lecture themed “From the Street-Stall Economy to Electronic World Trade Platform” (e-WTP), and 45 teachers attended the lecture.

At the start of the speech, Zhou talked about the path of Yiwu’s market development, analyzing the development process of the Yiwu market in detail around the three aspects of area construction, trade mode, and market reform, and dividing it into three periods: early, recent, and future. By combining the emerging livestreaming economy, digital economy, and free trade zone—the three hot spots of 2020—he focused on analyzing the role and existing issues of e-WTP in boosting the future development of Yiwu’s market, proposed a new concept of constructing an “Economic Circle of Yiwu,” and talked about the characteristics of its development model.

Finally, he looked forward to the development of Yiwu’s market, saying that Yiwu is working hard to realize the goal of transforming from a small commodities wholesale market into a famous commercial city cultivated by traditional market + e-commerce + import market, into a famous fashion city of R&D + standard + brand + information + display, and into a well-known business tourism city of platform + culture, all in order to achieve the goal of becoming the capital of the world’s small commodities. 周淮山：从地摊经济到e-WTP

11月12日下午，商学院邀请义商智库周淮山院长来校作“从地摊经济到e-WTP”主题讲座，共有45名教师参加了讲座。

讲座中，周淮山从义乌市场发展的路径着手，围绕空间建设、贸易方式递进、市场形态变革等三个维度详细解析了义乌市场发展的进程并将其划分为前期、后期、未来三个时期。结合2020年新兴的直播经济、数字经济、自贸区三大热点现象，周淮山重点分析了e-WTP助推义乌的未来市场发展的作用和存在的问题，并提出了建设“义乌经济圈”发展模型的概念、特征和特点。最后，他对义乌市场发展作了展望，表示义乌正在努力实现从小商品批发市场，到传统市场+电商+进口市场培育的商贸名城，再到研发+标准+品牌+信息+展示的时尚名城，跨越到平台+文化的商旅名城，最终实现建成世界小商品之都的宏伟目标。（王璐）
