First Grid-Connected Pilot Projects
水务集团首批分布式光伏项目实现并网发电

发布时间: 2021-12-23

After nearly a month of construction, the first application projects of distributed photovoltaic generation in Jiangdong Water Works and the Suxi Chunhua Weigu Park, Yiwu have been added to the grid*, which is a response taken by the Water Affairs Group Co., Ltd. to “peak carbon dioxide emissions and achieve carbon neutrality,” a practice to pursue green development.

The photovoltaic generation project has high reliability, a long service life, environmental protection, and is easy to maintain, so it is one of the new energy projects being promoted vigorously by the government. The top of the buildings of all water works, sewage treatment plants, and small and micro industrial areas affiliated with the group are broad enough and have strong absorptive capacity to generate solar energy to replace traditional electric power. This is an effective way for the group to reduce operating costs.

In November this year, a strategic cooperation agreement entitled “Green Development, Low-Carbon Yiwu,” was signed by the Water Affairs Group and Yiwu Power Supply Company. On the basis of complementing each other’s industrial advantage and production capacity, both companies will focus on distributed photovoltaic generation and create demonstration projects for renewable energy.

The agreement creates four distributed photovoltaic generation pilot projects. Among these, two grid-connected pilot projects are invested in with 4 billion RMB, covering the roof area of 9000 square meters, installing 1774 domestic advanced crystalline-silicon glass diaphragm modules whose capacity per unit is 545Wp and total capacity together is 966.83 KWp. Its expected annual energy output is 916,700 kWh, reducing carbon emissions by 822.28 tons. Additionally, the construction of the other two pilot projects―Shangxi Water Works (782 KWp) and Jiangdong sewage treatment plant (1155 KWp)―will be accelerated, and they are expected to be added to the grid within the year.
