Panda Pig • Two End Black International Ranch in Wucheng district, Jinhua, opened to the public on Aug 1.

The 1,200 mu (80 hectares) entertainment ranch, built according to the standards of 4A-level scenic spots (5A being the highest level in China), includes rolling mountains, green tea gardens and bamboo forests, and European-style manors.

Jinhua Liangtouwu pigs, or two-end-black pigs, are also known as "Chinese panda pigs". They are local livestock and poultry breeds under State protection and are also the only Chinese pigs shortlisted for the protection list of China-EU Agreement on Geographical Indications.

The ranch offers sightseeing tours, science education, team building, delicacies, and parent-child entertainment.

Shen Jianjun, founder of the ranch, said that they will develop a series of creative products about the pigs as well as food and health products made from the pigs in an effort to promote the development of the farming of such pigs in Jinhua.

The ranch is undergoing pilot operation from Aug 1 to 8 and is open to a limited number of tourists.
