The first time I heard of “a community with a shared future for mankind” proposed by the leader of China, the word “brotherhood” jumped to my mind. This concept shows China’s commitment to building a harmonious world where all human beings live in peace as brothers and sisters. From the perspective of China, it has become increasingly important to work together with other countries from the international community to maintain economic globalization, to preserve a global governance system, and ultimately to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
The contribution that China has made to help in the fight against the pandemic in other countries has also played a significant role in its global leadership. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, China has attached greater importance to cooperating with the world, including sharing pandemic information and providing various types of assistance to countries affected by the pandemic.
The concept of a community with a shared future for mankind is crucial for China-Africa cooperation and for the development and growth of the African continent. China, who advocates peaceful and steady development, has proven to be an ideal partner for the African continent, filling a vital role for the development of African countries.
China’s engagement with the African continent is based on the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). This is a major platform for the proposal of a community with a shared future for mankind to promote China-Africa policy. FOCAC is a successful model of international cooperation which lays the foundation for the continued implementation of multilateralism. Guided by FOCAC, China is focusing on health, economic exchanges, and economic affairs that can energize China-Africa cooperation.
There is no doubt that for the global economic recovery in the post-pandemic era, the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind provides a powerful platform on which the world can work together.
