Jinhua Heritage Comes to Beijing
As the New Year approaches, Beijing’s COFCO-Xiangyun town intangible cultural heritage bazaar has become crowded. Eleven Jinhua intangible cultural heritage items, such as Jinhua ham, Jinhua liquor, Dongyang wood comb and others, constitute Jinhua’s New Year’s goods, which are good gifts for the citizens here.
The bazaar exhibitors have selected intangible cultural heritage projects with a unique Jinhua regional identity, which promotes interaction and exchange between the north and south regions through on-site exhibition, sales, and an immersive experience. It also helps promote the mutual appreciation and integration of regional culture as well.
The exhibition of exquisite works of Jinhua’s intangible cultural heritage is also based on the theme of “the charm of Wu Style,” being Wu the ancient name of Jinhua area. The whole exhibition hall is equipped with three special zones of Jinhua arts, style, and opera, in which there are four sections, namely, Wu·Language, Tradition and Splendor, Legacy·and Treasure, and Appeal·and Elegance. These four modules showcase Jinhua’s profound cultural heritage, craftsman spirit, and unique essence.
Jinhua City and the Beijing-based National Foreign Cultural Trade Base jointly built this project, which is an important achievement of cultural friendship between Beijing and Tianjin. It will build a bridge for foreign cultural exchanges in Jinhua, expand the audience for products, promote the brand awareness of Wu Style’s Legacy, and broaden the sales channels.
