On December 30, a sea-rail intermodal train with 100 TEUs of export goods departed from the East China International Intermodal Port to the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, which made the monthly shipment volume from Jinhua to Ningbo-Zhoushan sea-rail intermodal transport exceed 10,000 TEUs for the first time.

“Over 10,000 TEUs per month is a big accomplishment. It indicates that the total shipment volume will jump to 100,000 TEUs in 2022,” said an employee from Ningbo-Zhoushan Port who specially traveled from Ningbo to Jinhua to witness this milestone. It also means that the East China International Intermodal Port will soon become the third member of the “100,000 TEUs Club” among the Ningbo-Zhoushan sea-rail intermodal transport system.
