This year, Hengdian Film and Television Festival continues to expand the theme of "Shadow - Towards the Future," consisting of more than ten activities: the Hengdian Film and Television Cultural Industry Expo, China (Hengdian) Film and Television Cultural Industry Development Conference, the 9th "Wen Rong Award" Ceremony, the 22nd National Cinema Domestic Film Promotion Conference, Film Investment and Financing Fair, Film Development Forum, Film and Television High-Tech Forum.

Hengdian Film Television Cultural Industry Expo will set up six theme exhibition areas this year. The Expo also involves China Film Television Cultural Tourism Industry Integration Development Conference, Film Television Talent Exchange Salon, and many other activities. At the Film and Television Cultural Industry (hereinafter referred to as industry) Development Conference this year, conceptual planning, development index, and key projects of the industry will also be released.

During the Festival, five theme forums will be held in turn, namely, the Film Development Forum, the National Opera Trend Forum, the Film Television Culture Tourism Integration Forum, the National Defense Military Film Forum, and the Film Television High-tech Forum. Hundreds of industry experts, scholars, and leading figures will gather to launch a collision of ideas around the trends of the film and television industry and explore its development direction.

With the theme of "Youth Hengdian - Shadow towards the Future," the 9th Wen Rong Award focuses on the new strength and business forms of the film and television industry, with two competition units of "Glory" and "Ingenuity" and several promotion awards of the Organizing Committee. In addition, this year, the Wen Rong Award has also set up a special award of "Top10 Emerging Actors," which aims to focus on young actors who are just beginning their careers and to create more opportunities for them to show their talents. This award is also part of Hengdian's "Youth Actor Support Plan."
