On April 27 in District Four of the Yiwu International Trade City, the Jinhua Municipal Public Security Bureau and relevant departments held an activity to help companies recruit international talents through entry and exit management. At the launching ceremony of the activity, six internationals were granted permanent residence permits, commonly known as “Chinese green cards,” including Kok Chit Hock, who is a Malaysian businessman, foreign expert of Zhejiang Province, and winner of the West Lake Friendship Award.
As the world’s largest distribution center of small commodities, Yiwu has over 10,000 resident international businessmen, and it maintains close trade with more than 230 countries and regions around the world.
In recent years, Yiwu has unremittingly improved its foreign services, expanded its service content, vigorously promoted the construction of immigration service stations, and facilitated the integration of internationals into communities. Yiwu was the first to launch special service cards for international businessmen, and has issued about 297,000 cards in total. With these cards, international businessmen can enjoy 24 services, including identity verification, financial services, social insurance services, and international trade services. Moreover, Yiwu was the first to provide comprehensive services to facilitate investments by international businessmen in Yiwu, providing convenience for them in the processes of registering companies, obtaining work permits, arranging social and medical insurance, and more.
