On May 8, Jiang Yunliang, president of Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU), visited Hanyang University (HYU) in South Korea during the 15th International Conference on Advanced Computational Intelligence (ICACI2023). During the visit, Jiang Yunliang engaged in fruitful discussions and exchanges with Lee Ki-jeong, president of HYU, and other participants, focusing on enhancing collaboration between the two universities.

Jiang Yunliang, president of ZJNU, provided a brief overview of ZJNU’s development history, educational objectives, talent cultivation, and international exchanges and cooperation. He expressed a strong commitment to the principles of open cooperation and mutual benefit. Looking ahead, he hopes to advance collaboration in three key areas: collaborative research and faculty exchanges, fostering talent and student exchanges, and cooperative education and resource sharing. He also expressed a keen interest in establishing an international joint laboratory in partnership with HYU.

Lee Ki-jeong, president of HYU, provided an overview of HYU’s educational characteristics, educational philosophy, and teaching achievements. He hopes to further strengthen communication, deepen friendship and cooperation with ZJNU, and advance the collaboration between the two universities to a new stage.

Hanyang University (HYU) in South Korea was established in 1939 as the country’s first engineering college. In 2023, HYU is ranked 157th in the QS World University Rankings, placing it among the top universities in South Korea in terms of overall strength, particularly in the field of engineering.
