In May, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism released 10 national routes on the Yangtze River, covering 11 provinces and cities: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou.
The Thirty-Six Weirs of the Baisha River, Jinhua, were selected in the route of "A Trip on the Peaceful Yangtze River."
Here is the complete route: Sichuan (Dujiangyan, Dongfengyan, Meishan Tongjiyan, etc.) — Chongqing (Baiheliang Underwater Museum, Changshou Lake, Longshui Lake, etc.) — Hubei (Three Gorges Dam, Gezhou Dam, Danjiangkou Reservoir, etc.) — Hunan (Dongjiang Lake, Ziquejie Terraces, etc.) — Jiangxi (Liao River, Shangbao Terraces, etc.) — Anhui (Yuliang Dam, Foziling Reservoir, etc.) — Jiangsu (Jiangdu Dam, Li Canal, etc.) — Zhejiang (National Water Museum of China, Tongji Dam in Lishui, Tashan Dam in Ningbo, Jiangxi Dam in Longyou, Thirty-Six Weirs of the Baisha River in Jinhua, etc.) — Shanghai (Song River, etc.).
Located in Wucheng District, the Thirty-Six Weirs of the Baisha River is the oldest existing system of dams in Zhejiang, and it integrates water diversion, irrigation, flood control, and water storage.
